: Diet: NPO (nothing by mouth)
: Activity: AAT with restrictions (variable depending on type of injury/condition)
: Vitals: VSR (vital signs routine ? q6-8h)
: Ix: repeat routine blood work and order any other appropriate investigations
: IV: NS or RL @ 100-125cc/hr (use 4:2:1 rule in peds.)
: Drugs: 5 P’s
- Pain (analgesics)
- Puke (anti-emetic)
- Prophylactic (anti-coagulation)
- Pus (antibiotic) Ancef 1g IV on-call to OR
- Precedent (medications pt. previously was on)
