Neurological Assessment of the Distal Lower Extremity
Sensory – as per cutaneous innervation in side diagrams

Superficial Peroneal Nerve: ask the patient to evert the foot
Deep Peroneal Nerve: ask the patient to dorsi flex the foot (L4) and extend the toes (L5)
Tibial Nerve: ask the patient to plantar flex the foot (S1)
