  • Regional level-I trauma center
  • Didactic, research, and rotation components, including:
    • PGY-1: 6 months in general surgery, 3 months in musculoskeletal-related specialties, 3 months in orthopaedic surgery
    • PGY-2: Surgical experience
    • PGY-3: Rotations to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and the Veterans Administration Hospital
    • PGY-3 and PGY-4: 6 months of research and administrative time
    • PGY-5: Leadership responsibilities at each of the affiliated hospitals
