Program Curriculum

  • PGY-1: General surgery (emergency room, critical care, plastic surgery, vascular surgery), physical medicine and rehabilitation, rheumatology, neurosurgery, orthopaedic adult reconstruction
  • PGY-2: Hand, adult reconstruction, orthopaedic trauma, basic science course
  • PGY-3: Trauma and reconstruction (or optional laboratory training leading to a Master's degree), adult reconstruction, off-campus rotation to Mayo Clinic or Children's Clinic in Florida
  • PGY-4: Oncology, pediatric, hand surgery, trauma and reconstruction, optional off-campus rotation
  • PGY-5: Subspecialty reconstruction, trauma and reconstruction
  • Optional Mayo Clinic's Clinician-Investigator Training Program provides additional year of clinical and research training following residency
