  • Weekly resident-run pediatric orthopaedic clinic
  • Weekly general orthopaedic clinic
  • Rotations at private practice offices
  • Rotations focus on:
    • Adult orthopaedics and joint reconstruction
    • Pediatric orthopaedics and pediatric trauma
    • Trauma and spine surgery
    • Hand surgery
    • Foot surgery
    • Athletic injury and arthroscopy
    • Metastatic disease
    • Orthopaedic rehab and amputations
  • Extensive training in all settings: outpatient, inpatient, operative, emergency
  • Research projects
    • One research project per year with one graduation thesis paper
    • Main focus is on sports medicine (motion and gait analysis) and spine
    • 4 full-time and 12 part-time research faculty
    • Robotic surgery recently added to research efforts
  • Didactic program
    • Weekly basic science
    • Weekly clinical conferences
    • Daily patient rounds integrating basic sciences
    • Weekly x-ray/indications conference
    • Weekly indications/fractures conference
    • Twice-yearly ethics sessions
