  • Comprehensive program with special emphasis on: diagnostic and operative arthroscopy, microsurgery, hand surgery, trauma, adult reconstruction, spine, foot and ankle, rehabilitative medicine
  • Extensive conference schedule
    • Weekly conferences in trauma, hip, hand, foot and ankle, total joint, Core conference
    • Weekly Grand Rounds
    • Monthly M&M conference
    • Monthly journal club
    • Annual trauma/motor skills workshop
    • Annual musculoskeletal pathology workshop
  • One research paper in publishable format required
  • Sponsorship provided to attend up to 2 national meetings per year to present research papers
  • Second-year residents cover area high school sports teams
  • Third-year residents and up responsible for their own clinics

  • PGY-1: Pediatric surgery, emergency medicine, cardiothoracic, anesthesia, plastic surgery, trauma (general surgery), neurosurgery, vascular surgery, surgical oncology, orthopaedic surgery, research
  • PGY-2: Sports, emergency medicine, general orthopaedics
  • PGY-3: Two 2-month research rotations, plus four orthopaedic service rotations, outpatient clinic
  • PGY-4: Senior Resident
  • PGY-5: Chief Resident, assistant in sports medical coverage of University sports teams
