The National Board of Medical Examiners has created a Subject Examination in Musculoskeletal Medicine.

The United States Bone and Joint Decade has provided funding such that medical students at AAMC member schools can take this examination free of charge.

The examination comprises 75 questions pertaining to Musculoskeletal Medicine, and is based on the curricular goals articulated in the AAMC Objectives Project report

For more information on how to take this examination, contact the "NBME Executive Chief Proctor" in the office of the Dean of Students (or similarly named official) at your school.
