IP joints require increased flexion, as moving from radial to ulnar digits
- 15 – 20 in the index
- Up to 40 in the little finger
Excise an ellipse of skin over the dorsum of the joint, if associated with FFD.
Stabilise the joint with ‘K’ wires, for 4 – 6 weeks post operatively.
