Name of test

Cervical Radiculopathy Clinical Prediction Rule

What it tests

This is a test item cluster to determine the likelihood that the patient will present with cervical radiculopathy

How to do it

Four predictor variables:

1. Upper limb tension test A

2. Spurling A test

3. Distraction test

4. Cervical rotation less than 60 degrees

If 3 positive tests:

Sensitivity=.39, specificity=.94, +LR .88 (1.5, 2.5), posttest probability of 65%

If 4 positive tests:

Sensitivity .24, specificity=.99, +LR 30.3 (1.7, 38.2), posttest probability of 90%

The normal response

What it means if not normal
