• Also known as granulocytic sarcoma
• Tumor may be an isolated finding or associated with AML or CML
• Lesion more frequent in children than adults
• Sites of involvement include bone, periosteum, soft tissue, orbit, lymph nodes, and skin
• Commonly associated with subperiosteal structure,s with most common sites being skull, paranasal sinuses, ribs, sternum, vertebrae, and pelvis.
• Cut surface is green due to the presence of peroxidase in cells
