Classification

Class I:  Pain, no neurologic deficit

Class II:  Subjective weakness with hyperreflexia, dysesthesia

Class III:  Objective findings of weakness and long-tract signs

• Class III a: Patient cannot walk
• Class III b: Patient is quadriparetic
