Notes

  • Osteoid osteoma may be difficult to identify in the posterior elements. Fine cut CT imaging may be needed for the diagnosis.
  • Osteochondromas have characteristic pedunculated appearance.
  • About 10% of metastases of the spine present in the posterior elements.
